James Knight is Managing Director of Bonhams UK and Group Chairman of the Motoring Department.

As one of the longest serving specialists in the industry, Knight has handled record-breaking auctions of both collections and individual motor cars. Some of the major collections he has offered include Rosso Bianco; Maranello Rosso; The Autocar Archives on behalf of Haymarket Publishing Group; and British Motor Industry Heritage Trust dispersal sale. Among the exceptional motor cars he has brought to auction, there is the world's oldest Rolls-Royce; the ex-works 1953-55 Austin-Healey Special Test Car/100S; and Jaguar C- and D-Types, and the unique Jaguar prototype E2A. Each of these motor cars achieved world auction record prices.
