Rarest Bottle of Glen Grant Whisky to be Auctioned at Bonhams Skinner

Boston – Bonhams Skinner will present one of the rarest bottles of Scotch Whiskies, Gordon & MacPhail's Glen Grant 1948 72-year-old, at its Rare Spirits sale from June 19 - 29. One of the oldest and greatest Scotch single malts of all time, this is the first time this bottling has been offered at auction in the United States. It is estimated at $70,000 – 100,000.

Built in 1839, Glen Grant is one of the most recognized distilleries in Speyside, the biggest whisky producing region in Scotland. Their 72-Year-Old whisky was distilled in 1948, matured in an American oak ex-Sherry cask, and bottled in 2020. The cask produced on 290 bottles and the whisky is housed in a hand cut Dartington Crystal decanter. It was awarded the World's Finest Single Cask and the 2022 Scottish Single Malt Whisky of the Year.
