Encore for Pop X Culture at Bonhams London

London - The art a generation produces determines the pop culture it consumes, and vice versa. Pop X Culture, a sale celebrating this dynamic, will return to Bonhams on 20 October in New Bond Street, London. The 146-lot cross-departmental sale will feature contemporary art, prints and multiples, film and music memorabilia, and fashion. Notable lots include Andy Warhol's Herself from 'Ingrid Berman' (estimate: £25,000-35,000), Invader's The Invasion in the UK (estimate: £20,000-30,000) and Yoshitomo Nara's After the Acid Rain (estimate: £50,000-70,000). The sale also contains an extensive selection of punk memorabilia and prints by the street artist Banksy. Previews are open from Saturday 15 October to Thursday 20 October at 2pm.

Laetitia Guillotin, Co-Head of Sale, commented, "Pop X Culture is back and better than ever. This is a sale that is always current, shining a light on the richness and complexity of the entertainment industry's output and the myriad of ways artists have responded to it. With pieces by king of Pop Art Andy Warhol, punk pioneers Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren, and designer Virgil Abloh, the movements that shaped a generation are encompassed."
