Bonhams Spring 2020 Modern Design | Art Auction
Highlights Include Property From An Iconic Beverly Hills Interior And Rare Items From Dale Chihuly And William C. Morris

LOS ANGELES – Bonhams Los Angeles presents its Spring 2020 Modern Design|Art Sale on Sunday, March 29, 2020, with various lots spanning the early 1900s to the present day and range in style from timeless modern design to bespoke high-style interiors.

The sale will showcase pieces from bespoke interiors both iconic and contemporary, along with a wide array of rare works from masters such as William Morris, Otto and Gertrud Natzler, Stephen de Staebler and June Schwarcz. The sale also includes a wide display of items ranging from Arts and Crafts, mid-century and contemporary artifacts, fine art and modernist paintings, lighting and collectibles, high-style custom interiors, studio pottery, ceramics, and glass masterworks.

Otto and Gertrud Natzler – Monumental Bowl with Base ($5,000-7,000)
Stephen de Staebler – Leg with Double Column, 1996 ( $10,000-15,000)
Peter Voulkos - Vessel ($3,000-5,000)
Zheng Lu - Mao Never Down, 2007 ($30,000-50,000)
Three sets of T.H. Robsjohn - Gibbings Custom Armchairs from Casa Encantada ($12,000-18,000 each pair)
First Presbyterian Church of Santa Monica - American Leaded Glass Windows ($30,000-50,000 each)
William Haines - Hostess Chair ($5,000-7,000)

To showcase the wide range of lots, Bonhams is collaborating with Angie Socias from Coppel Design to create an enticing vignette to preview the pieces.

The sale will be on public view at Bonhams Los Angeles starting March 24, with the auction to be held Sunday, March 29 at 10am PT.
