Bonhams Appoints Marcus McDonald as UK Director, Modern Decorative Art + Design

Bonhams has appointed Marcus McDonald as UK Director, Modern Decorative Art & Design. Reporting to the Global Head of Modern Decorative Art + Design, Benjamin Walker, he will be responsible for overseeing modern decorative art sales in London, including the newly launched Design Sales at 101 New Bond Street.

McDonald joins Bonhams from Phillips Auctioneers where he was international specialist in the Design Department working across the company's offices in London, New York, and Hong Kong. He has extensive knowledge of pre and post war, and contemporary, British, Scandinavian, Nordic, European and Japanese Design and has been involved in record-breaking sales, including world records at auction for a unique Dining Table by Peder Moos, and for the iconic Lockheed Lounge by designer, Marc Newson.
