Red and white Burgundy from the region's top producers lead Bonhams sale of Fine & Rare Wines in London on 24 May. Most come from the stocks of a Michelin starred restaurant, a highly respected merchant and a wine investment fund and have been professionally stored since shipment.

Among the highlights are:

• Two bottles of La Tâche 1959 from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, £1,500-1,700 each; and four bottles of Romanée-Conti 1976, £4,500-5,500 each
• A dozen Chambertin Clos de Bèze 1999 from Armand Rousseau in its original case, £13,000-16,000
• René Engel Grands Echézeaux 2002, £3,000-3,800 for 6 bottles
• Comte Georges de Vogüé Musigny 2011, £1,700-2,000 for 6 bottles
• Domaine Roulot Meursault Luchets 2005, £1,800-2,000 per dozen
• Domaine Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet 2010, £1,800-2,000 for 6 bottles

There are also wines from Denis Bachelet; Domaine Fourrier; Domaine Roumier; Louis Jadot; Comte Armand; Comte Lafon; Domaine Dauvissat and Domaine Matrot.

Elsewhere in France, wines from Bordeaux include a case of Château Latour 1970, £3,500-4,200, a magnum of Le Pin 2000, £5,000-6,000, and a case of Château d'Yquem 1976, £4,000-5,000.
