An outstanding selection of Burgundy from a private German vendor is one of the features of Bonhams Fine & Rare Wine Sale in London on Thursday 28 September.

The 63 lot collection is particularly strong in wines from Domaine Arnaud Rousseau including:

• A dozen bottle case of Chambertin Clos de Bèze 1999 (£12,000-15,000).

• Two six-bottle cases of Chambertin Clos de Bèze 2000 (£3,000-4,000 per case).

• Two six-bottle cases of Mazy-Chambertin 1990 (£2,000-2,500 per case).

• A dozen bottle case of Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru, Les Cazetiers 1999 (£2,200-2,800).

Other highlights from the collection include:

• A dozen bottle case of Bonnes-Mares 2000, Domaine Dujac (£4,200-5,000).

• Two six-bottle cases of Musigny, Vieilles Vignes 1999, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé (£2,500-3,000 per case).

Bonhams International Wine Director, Richard Harvey M.W., said: "This collection of Burgundies has been stored in impeccable conditions in a German cellar and many of the wines come in their original cases. Domaine Arnaud Rousseau is, of course, one of the great Burgundy producers, and it is rare to be able to offer such a wide range of top vintages from this much sought-after domaine."

The sale also includes an important collection of 20 vintages of Château d'Yquem, including a dozen bottles of 1962 (£4,000-5,000) and a dozen bottles of 1976 vintage (£3,200-4,000) as well as several vintages in large formats.

Elsewhere in the sale, a good range of Bordeaux include a dozen bottles of Pétrus 1992 (£10,000-12,000); a dozen bottles of Château Mouton Rothschild 1982 (£10,000-12,000) and a dozen bottles of Château Lafite Rothschild 1998 (£6,000-7,000).
