The first case sold in 2010 for £42,550.

Bonhams Senior International Director of Wine, Richard Harvey M.W. said: "For the second time this year we are featuring a wonderful private collection of the most desirable Domaines and vintages from Burgundy. The market's appetite for these wines continues to be strong and shows no sign of abating – as the growth in value of a case of Romanée-Conti 1988 since 2010 shows."
