Bonhams Islamic and Oriental Art division encompasses both ancient Islamic and Indian art and artefacts dating from the 9th to the 19th Century, as well as modern and contemporary art from the Middle East and South Asia.

The Islamic and Indian art auctions typically include Arabic and Persian manuscripts, pottery, metalwork and glass, ivory, jewellery, stonework, Ottoman Turkish works of art, silver, textiles, arms and armour, Iznik pottery, Bidri ware and ivory.

Modern & Contemporary Middle Eastern & South Asian Art auctions incorporate works by well established artists and those whose international reputations are climbing rapidly, such as Farhad Moshiri, Jamini Roy, Francis Newton Souza, Sadequain, Chugtai, Gulgee, Parviz Tanavoli, Ahmed Moustafa, and C.H.
