Footnotes

In 1932, the year the Stern Family became the owner's of Patek Philippe, the ref. 96 was launched. With its timeless proportions that pay homage to the era's Bauhaus, Art Deco, and Modernism styles the watch remains as stylish today as when it was first designed. It is quintessentially 1930s and yet effortlessly contemporary.

This particular model, with the beautiful two-tone sector aviator dial is exceptionally attractive. The fact that it is double signed by Birks-Ellis makes the watch rare beyond measure. Purchased in Canada in 1935, the watch has remained in the same family until today. It shows only very light signs of wear and is in impeccable condition considering its age. The dial's colors are rich and cases edges are crisp. This Patek is truly among the finest of its era.
