Footnotes

  • The Bristol 408 is an exclusive, luxury coupé that was produced for four years between 1963 and 1966. In those four years only 83 cars were produced, and all were built by hand. It's look is undoubtedly Bristol, and it has an understated yet powerful 5.1-litre Chrysler V8 to match. The styling of the 408 was reminiscent to its predecessor – the 407, but instead the 408 had a larger, rectangular grille with rectangular indictors and horizontal slats. This new front end design gave the car a much more imposing look which worked well with its powerful 250hp engine. Purchased by the vendor in 1987, this 1964 example offers a new owner the opportunity to purchase a rare Bristol project car. The car has already been partly restored, with the work including a full engine rebuild with +30" thou pistons and maintenance of the body which is overall solid. It's grey paintwork combined with the cream leather interior work very well together, but both will require attention. This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase a rare Bristol GT with good potential.
