The Lancia Aprilia was considered the spiritual testament of the company founder, Vincenzo Lancia, when it was launched in October 1936 with its streamlined design. This early Series 1 example was imported to the UK from Kenya in 1971, and then sold in June 1974 to the current owner. Since it was purchased the car has been in dry storage and awaiting restoration, however this never materialised and the car is now being sold due to retirement and redevelopment of the storage location. The car comes with various documents including a Kenyan vehicle licence from 1958, a customs document from October 1971, and other correspondences. Originally supplied green, it is believed the car was painted red in Kenya during the 1950s. The car is also virtually rust free, but will require a full restoration. Missing items include the windscreen and a few smaller items. The engine turns (but has not been started), and the car also rolls easily for loading.
