CHARLES SHERRINGTON'S COPY OF THE SCARCEST OF ALL CUSHING'S MONOGRAPHS. Charles Sherrington, along with Cushing, was a seminal figure in the history of neuroscience. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1932 for his work with Edgar Arian on neurons. "Cushing settled upon the three subjects to which he had devoted primary attention during the previous twenty five years; in a sense, therefore, the Cameron Lectures may be looked upon as Cushing's scientific autobiography up to 1925" (Fulton Harvey Cushing (1946) p 522.
