The Rolls-Royce 20hp was launched in 1922 and its introduction (and acceptance of the growing need for owner-driver cars) effectively doubled the Royce offering, which up until then had offered just the 40/50hp Silver Ghost. As with the bigger model the 20hp was bodied by many coachbuilders including Coventry-based Charlesworth, who was responsible for this tourer. Our vendor says that despite the restoration being carried out nearly three decades ago the bodywork, paint, glass, trim and wheels/tyres still present in excellent order. The interior, in its entirety, also presents in excellent order they say. Engine starting and running, as well as presentation, is said to be excellent and the running gear (and the electrics) is also described as being excellent throughout. This 20hp comes with an excellent history file our vendor says.
