*Re-bodied in period by Southern Coachworks
*Originally owned by novelist Sir Max Pemberton
*Comes with copies of works build sheets and various bills

Adventure and mystery novelist Sir Max Pemberton (who also penned 'The Life of Sir Henry Royce') was in his late 60s when he bought this 20/25, specifying Barker cabriolet de ville coachwork. It was then re-bodied by Southern, who from 1935 to 1939 specialised in updating the appearance of older Royces with fresh bodywork. This 1930 20/25 has very good bodywork and two-tone red and cream paint, while the trim and wheels/tyres are said to be good. The interior is said to be good throughout, the red and white seats being re-trimmed in vinyl. Our vendor says the engine is excellent for starting, very good for running and that its presentation is good. The running gear, including overdrive gearbox, is reported to be good throughout. There is some history with this car.
