*Part of a deceased estate
*Good bodywork and paint
*Some history
*A rarer hot hatchback

The 1980s saw the rise of the hot hatchback, a theory that combined sports car performance and handling with the practicality of a family three- or five-door. Many European manufacturers jumped onto the bandwagon, some later than others, but not having a performance model in a hatchback range was a serious omission. MG had two hot hatchback models, the Metro and the Maestro, the latter joined by an MG-badged Montego saloon. On offer here is a 1989 Maestro 2.0EFi that has vendor-assessed good bodywork and red paint, the trim and alloy wheels/tyres also in good order, the vendor says. The interior is described as good and the seats show few signs of wear: dashboard and door cards too present well. The engine is reported to be average for starting and good both for running and presentation, the engine bay showing few signs of dirt ingress. The running gear and the electrics are vendor-assessed as good.
