*Steering upgraded to rack-and-pinion specification
*New Blockley tyres Some cars are as impressive in much loved and driven condition as in concours-winning form: this 2/4 pleasingly sits in the former category. The engine/chassis are not matching but this well-presented 1954 model benefits from an engine and gearbox overhaul by specialists Four Ashes Garage, since when only 500 miles have been covered. There has been further expenditure on a new clutch, brake linings, wheel cylinders and a wiring loom, and on the road gearbox and brakes gain a vendor-supplied very good assessment. Hamburg-based Thomas Weber Aston Martin upgraded the steering to rack-and-pinion specification which mirrors that used in the DB3S and is vendor-reported to 'vastly improve the driving experience'.
The bodywork is owner-assessed as very good, as is the engine bay, with the British Racing Green paintwork reported to be good. The interior benefits from new cream carpets and headlining and the seats, while showing some patination, are recorded as good.
Coming with some history this 2/4 benefits from engine and gearbox rebuilds by Four Ashes Garage, since when it has covered 500 miles.
