*Rarely seen in this order Hailing from its Citroen ownership period, the Maserati Merak offered striking looks and a performance to match and was successful enough to see 1832 built, of which 626 were the SS model. This 1976 SS was sold new by Sweden's Maserati dealer to ABBA's Benny Andersson. It comes to the sale with vendor-assessed very good body, red paintwork, glass, trim and wheels/tyres: panel fit is good, with neat shutlines. The interior is rated as good and while the seat facings show some use they are devoid of rips and damage. The door cards and dashboard are in commensurate order. Notably the Blaupunkt radio cassette player with microphone, with which Benny Andersson is believed to have used to record musical ideas, is still fitted. Our vendor reports the engine to be good for starting, running and presentation, the rest of the running gear (as well as the electrical systems) also recorded as being in good order.
Originally owned by ABBA's Benny Andersson this is a supercar with serious celebrity credentials, this Merak SS also benefits from having much specialist expenditure in the last few years.
