The late-1980s urban hero – the guv'nor – the stuff of legend: or, in other words, the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth. Such was its motor sport success – the result of its blistering performance – car buyers craving power but not willing to stump up supercar money had a truly viable, way more practical alternative. As with many performance Fords, as they aged they fell into the hands of less caring owners, but MPH is delighted to report this is one that got away. This White example impresses from whatever angle the viewer stands: Panel work is factory-straight and crisp and the deep front bumper (along with the door mirrors) has no scuffs, marks or car park damage. The rear bumper repeats that condition. Glasswork is excellent and the alloy wheels present in fine condition. Open the long doors and it is immediately apparent this example has been very well cared-for. The seat facings are excellent, lacking the wear and 'bagginess' that often occurs with Fords of this era and the door cards are very good and the dashboard is excellent, having no cracking or fading. The engine starts and runs very well and any collector will be delighted by the first-rate underbonnet presentation. Coming with a comprehensive history file this Sierra RS Cosworth would make a highly pleasing addition to any Ford collection.
For any fast Ford fan it would be difficult to resist the appeal of this well-presented, well-maintained Sierra RS Cosworth, which is reported to be starting and running very well.
