*A rare opportunity

Duncan-bodied Alvis models combined high-end engineering integrity with up-to-the-minute body design, broadening the Red Triangle's appeal beyond its more traditional client base. Duncan Indutstries was founded by Ian Duncan who, having worked with the Bristol Aeroplane Company's Roy Fedden, gained invaluable experience about marrying strength with little weight. Figures vary on just how many Duncan-bodied Alvis models were built but it is likely fewer than 40, meaning this long-term stored example (that was put away with around 12,000 miles on the clock) is a highly special find. There is no history and it should be noted the mechanical condition is not known, but the bodywork appears good, with no door sag or panel damage. The glass appears to be fine and the brightwork has lasted very well while the mid-red paint still presents well and may respond well to careful cleaning and polishing. Both engine bay and boot are very tidy. Seating remains in very good order and appears to have little sign of wear and the carpet is in commensurate order, and both the wooden dashboard and instruments are smart. MPH is delighted to offer this model, which would be a great addition to any Alvis collection.
