Footnotes

  • Rolex released a special edition Submariner in 2003 with a green bezel and black dial to commemorate the models 50th anniversary. Bringing to mind Jim Hensons lovable creation, the model has gone on to earn itself the nickname 'Kermit'.

Early Kermits are recognisable by their 'Flat 4' bezels. This refers to the execution of the 40 on the green insert whereby the 4 has a flat top in comparison with 4s that can be found on later iterations which have a pointed top to the 4.

Saleroom notices

  • The accompaniments should read: Rolex box, outer card, punched Guarantee Certificate, Rolex anchor, brochures. The watch was originally purchased on October 29th 2003.
