Footnotes

  • Longines have confirmed that the serial number 2'027'621 originally identifies a hunter pocket watch in silver. It is fitted with a Longines manually wound mechanical movement, caliber 19.74 and was invoiced on 16 May 1908 to the company Rosenblatt & Fils, which was at that time their agent for Russia.

At some point afterwards the watch was converted into a wristwatch and engraved with Russian military markings believed to be around circa 1945.
