Immensely popular when it was new and one of the most popular cars in the British classic car movement, the Morris Minor's appeal is as strong as it always has been. Sold new in October 1969 by Taunton's Marshalsea's Garage to a Mrs Luckes it then passed to Mrs Luckes' daughter nine years later who, keeping the family connections alive, taught her two sons to drive in it. During this time it acquired the nickname 'Chuggabug', and after a period on the Isle of Wight returned to the mainland, being sold on in 1997. At this time the Traveller had received a ground-up rebuild by Charles Ware's Morris Minor Centre. In 2003 it was bought by the vendor, during whose tenure it has been looked after by Kent-based Classic Motivation. Reported to be driving very well, the vendor advises that three years ago the wood was sanded back and re-varnished and remains very sound and that Newton Commercial seats (with headrests) are fitted.
