This 3 Litre Tourer was registered to a James Haggerty of Pennsylvania, USA before being imported to the UK by a private collector in Carlisle who commissioned a restoration by Stoneaire Classic Cars Ltd. Included in the restoration was a bare metal, body-off respray and complete mechanical overhaul – the result still stands close scrutiny today. Acquired by the vendor in 2018 the Maxwell has resided in his substantial private collection of pre war motor cars in recent years and comes to the open market in very good order throughout. Included in the history file is the V5C registration document, a current MOT test certificate, the US certificate of title, an original Maxwell instruction book and parts list and photographs and invoices of the comprehensive restoration.
