A rare Italian quarter striking chamber clock
Date: circa 1700
Movement: Weight driven three train posted frame with iron corner columns and brass top and bottom plates, verge escapement with short pendulum mounted on the side of the frame, striking the hours and quarters by means of iron count wheels, on two bells on top of the frame
Dial: Arched brass plate engraved with leafy scroll spandrels, roman chapter ring with sword hilt half hour marks, single iron hand
Case: On brass bun feet, without side panels
Size: 11 ½ in (29cm ) high
