the brass bound mahogany lagged single cylinder is 3in bore x 5in stroke and has integrally cast steam passage and valve face, single piece valve chest with decorations, and 'D' slide valve driven via a crosshead. The beam with its decorative webs carries equal parallel motion with drop links consisting of straps and barrelled spacers, provision for a pump rod and an anchor link entablature supported on turned columns. The beam is supported on a fluted column and carries a decorated connecting rod. The cast bed has rounded corners and is fitted with a feed pump with provision for a bypass valve lever.
