With part octagonal sighted barrel retaining traces of blueing and with integral tubular magazine beneath (spring incomplete), the top flat stamped 'Henry's Patent. Oct. 16. 1860 Manufactured By The Newhaven Arms Co. Newhaven. Ct.' and fitted with white-metal blade fore-sight and contemporary dovetailed back-sight formed from a clipped American Indian Head penny, brass action and elevator-block, the former with folding adjustable back-sight calibrated to 1000 yards, contemporary steel lever with catch at the rear, figured butt (some old bruising and scratches), and curved brass butt-plate with hinged butt-trap cover opening to reveal the original iron-mounted four-piece cleaning rod (steel parts with some surface rust patination and light pitting), and matching numbers
