• 2012 saw the 85th Anniversary of the Mille Miglia - Aldo Bonomi, President of the Brescia Automobile Club lauded the anniversary by quoting that "Perhaps no one in 1927 would have supposed that, even with a different formula, the creation of 'four romantics' would have been able to defy time, trends and traditions, re-emerge and rise to new glory."
  
  As part of the celebrations a wreath was laid in the gardens of Viale Venezia by a marble bust of Renzo Castagneto. It was in this very spot that the original departure and arrival stands of the Mille Miglia had been placed.
  
  2012 also saw the introduction by Chopard of an anodized black aluminium bezel.
  
  Lots 221-230 come from the collection of a well-respected and discerning European Gentleman Motoring collector. Comprising of an almost complete collection from 2008 to 2018, the original owner has participated in every race except for one.
