A gilt-bronze figure of a seated Lama

The plump figure finely cast seated on two rectangular cushions intricately detailed with cartouches enclosing sprays of blossoming lotus reserved on diaper patterns, his right hand raised in vitarkamudra, his left hand resting on his lap, dressed in voluminous robes with hems incised with floral scrolls, the bearded face with jovial expression, flanked by pendulous ears. 16.5cm (6 1/2in) high.
