  • Of particular interest are two scenes depicting Muharram processions, snake charmers, a burial, a less common landscape view (in mica paintings at least) of the rock and fortress at Trichinopoly, and a macabre scene apparently depicting a traveller being held down and garrotted by 'Thugs' or bandits.

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £10,000 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £10,000 up to and including £450,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £450,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
