Oblong folio (260 x 398 mm). Engraved title page, 20 hand-colored engraved plates. 19th century green morocco gilt, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt. Upper joint cracked, endpapers browned, fingermarks and offsetting throughout.
Provenance: Sir David Salomons (1797-1873, bookplate).

FIRST EDITION. Each plate features several satirical images with captions. Originally issued in boards with the title page engraving used on the upper cover. In this example, the upper cover has been laid down and inserted as a duplicate title page. Abbey Life 415.
