Few sports cars have proved as versatile as Porsche's perennial 911; a model that, for the past 50-plus years, has proved equally capable as a Grand Tourer, circuit racer, or rally car. In 1967, Porsche introduced the 'T' (Touring) as the new base model of the 911 range. Initially the 911T used the 2.0-litre engine in 110bhp form, gaining the 2.2-litre unit along with the rest of the range in 1969. The T's power output then was 125bhp, increasing with the introduction of the 2.4-litre engine in 1971 to 130bhp, the same output as the original 911. By that time the 911's wheelbase had been extended by 57mm to tame the sometimes wayward handling, while the models on offer had stabilised at three: 911T, middle-ranking 911E, and top-of-the-range 911S, all of which were available as either a closed coupé or Targa convertible. Tenacious adhesion, responsive steering, very good flexibility, superb brakes, meticulous finish, and a solid, un-burstable feel were just some of the virtues praised by Motor magazine in its test of a Porsche 911T in 1973, the final year of the model's production.

This particular 911T has been equipped for historic rallying, the interior being fitted out with a roll bar, bucket seats, four-point safety harnesses, and other related competition equipment. Described by the vendor as in generally good condition, the car is offered with Netherlands registration papers and valid technical inspection.
