Folio (365 x 257 mm). 264 (of 276) leaves (lacking leaves 21-23, 112-19, and 190, all replaced in modern photofacsimile). First text page with illuminated U in gold and decorative floral panels in upper and lower margin, rubricated initials and paragraph marks in red and blue. Modern vellum, slightly worn. Marginal repairs on first and last few leaves, portion of blank lower margin excised from leaf 72, dampstaining and repairs at end affecting a few words.
Provenance: unidentified coat-of-arms in illuminated border; illegible ink stamp on first text leaf; Arthur Mullin, his sale, Swann Galleries, New York, 19 November 1998, lot 130 (bookplate).
