Folio (253 x 178 mm). 188 leaves. Title in red and black, text in 2 columns, woodcut portrait of St. Jerome in his study with a lion under his desk to title, woodcut publisher's device at end, woodcut initials throughout. Contemporary blind tooled pigskin over beveled wooden boards, remnants of brass clasps. Name crossed over on title, some early marginalia, light dampstain to fore-edge, lower fore-edge corner torn from final leaf, occasional foxing, repair to spine.
Provenance: Unidentified wax seal to title.

This popular hagiography is attributed to St. Jerome. BMC/STC French p.240.
