A Medieval Knightly Sword Of Oakeshott Type XIIIB
Second Half Of The 14th Century
With broad double-edged blade of flat slightly diamond section tapering towards the point and incised with three stars at the end of the shallow central fuller on both sides of the forte, one side with a dagger marks between 'S' marks, hilt comprising bow-tie shaped quillons slightly arched on each side over the forte, wheel pommel drawn-up to a blunt point on both sides and surmounted by an ovoidal brass tang button mount, and retaining its tapering leather-wrapped grip (wear and pitting overall)
