Footnotes

  • The movement 4156 achieved a 'Kew A' Certificate on its 4th attempt through Teddington. As a consequence it was in the last batch of pieces to pass before they stopped issuing certificates, passing on the 6th of April 1951. This meant it was cased in the larger gold case as it seems all of the last ones put through Teddington were. Records show that there were only 24 cased in gold making this one of the rarest production pieces Rolex ever created.
