A carved jade group of three rams and taiji symbol
18th/19th century
Deeply undercut to portray two kids nestling on opposing sides of the central recumbent ram emitting cloud scrolls that support the taiji roundel carved from a russet patch in the matrix, a pale russet patch also visible on the body of one of the kids, their horns and fluffy tails delicately line-incised, the underside carefully finished and the surfaces polished to a soft luster.
