By Prosser, Manufacturer To His Majesty, London, Circa 1825
With curved pipe-back blade (some areas of pitting, the edge at the forte slightly ground off) double-edged towards the point, the forte over each side etched 'Prosser Manufacturer to the King, Charing Cross, London' and with crowned 'GRIV' cypher above, brass hilt of regulation pattern retaining traces of gilding and comprising pierced bars incorporating crowned 'GRIV' cypher, and with hinged inner-guard acting against a spring, wire-bound fishskin-covered grip, and bullion and red fabric sword-knot, in original black leather scabbard with linear engraved locket and chape, the former with foliate button and maker's details on one side (worn overall)

Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
27.5% on the first £20,000 of the hammer price;
26% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £20,000 up to and including £700,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £700,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
