Jewelled manual wind movement with column wheel chronograph, silvered dial with baton hour markers and Arabic numeral 6 and 12, black outer 1/5th second divisions with Arabic five minute markers, red outer telemeter scale, blue inner spiral scale, blued steel sword hands with luminous inserts and centre chronograph hand, subsidiary dials at 3 and 9 for constant seconds and 30 minute recording, polished round case with snap on back, crown flanked by twin olive form buttons, fitted black leather strap with plated buckle, case, dial and movement signed
35mm.

  • The reference 2508, introduced in the mid-1930s, was the first chronograph to feature two buttons and two registers. Originally the chronograph buttons were olive formed, as with the current lot, and then later fitted with rectangular ones.

27.5% on the first £2,500 of the hammer price;
25% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £2,500 up to and including £300,000;
20% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £300,000 up to and including £3,000,000;
and 13.9% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £3,000,000.

VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
