Two ink stones in hardwood cases

Each of simple rectangular shape without inscriptions, the first carved with a gourd vine in the upper left corner near a recessed oval reservoir across the top; the second carved with overlapping leaves in the upper right corner, the recessed reservoir of curving gourd shape, the reverse of the stone as well as the wood storage box stamped China (wear from use to both stones and cases).
