A lot of six British bayonets
19th/early 20th century
Comprising: 1) Enfield Pattern 1853, blade shortened to 14 inches, socket marked 14/A/218. 2) Another, 17 inch blade, blued socket, brass-mounted scabbard with WD and broad arrow mark. 3) Another, 17 1/2 inch blade marked above the shank with crown over 6, NS, JO; socket marked 13/559/70 and enlarged to fit a large bore musket; associated black leather scabbard. 4) EIC Sappers and Miners Model 1845 sword bayonet, 22 1/8 inch fullered blade, the spine marked Heighington; knucklebow socket with EIC catch. 5) Pattern 1907, 17 inch fullered blade with indistinct markings; iron-mounted leather scabbard with tan leather frog marked DG & HGRL/15 (Hepburn, Gale & Ross Ltd. 6) A reproduction Baker rifle sword bayonet.
Condition: 1) Dark patina, light pitting. 2) Minor pitting, blued finish turned to brown, light scruffing to scabbard. 3) Light pitting, socket with dark patina, scabbard scuffed, partially open seam. 4) Staining, minor pitting. 5) Areas of light pitting.
