A lot of five British socket bayonets

Comprising: 1) Early 18th century example, 17 inch blade, the upper 10 inches of diamond section, the lower 7 inches flat with maker's mark above the short, heavy shank; 3 3/4 inch two step socket marked VIII. 2) Land Pattern bayonet, circa 1760, 17 inch triangular blade with what appears to be an armorer's mark; three step socket, leather scabbard with brass frog stud. 3) Land/India pattern by Brown, early 19th century, 15 1/4 inch blade marked S. Brown, marked 54 on shank and, faintly, 18 on the socket. 4) Land Pattern by John Gill, circa 1810, 17 1/4 inch blade marked with crown over 6, faintly marked John Gill, strong broad arrow/Board of Ordnance mark. 5) Carbine/light musket example by Wheeler Chapman, circa 1818-20, 13 inch blade marked Wheeler/Chapman and with crowned inspection mark. 6) Included with the lot is an ebonized demi-lune wooden display stand with pegs for 10 bayonets and an iron suspension ring purchased from the Tower of London Armouries.
Condition: 1) Staining, areas of pitting. 2) Areas of pitting, scabbard scuffed and missing the tip. 3)Dark brown patina with some light pitting. 4) Minor pitting. 5) Dark patina, some light pitting.
