A lot of three Bronze Age axe heads and two mace heads
Comprising: 1) Phoenician 'duck bill' axe head, 2nd Millennium B.C., the 4 inch axe head with two oval piercings. 2) Caananite fenestrated axe head, 2nd Millennium B.C., 4 1/2 inches with two large circular piercings. 3) Heavy axe head, probably Luristan, 10th-8th century B.C., 3 inch blade with convex edge, poll formed as a crescent-shaped blade, socket molded with circular and herringbone panels. 4) Luristani mace head, 10th-8th century B.C., ovoid head with two rows of five spikes, the upper row longer. 5) Another, the tapering ovoid body molded with rows of small bosses overall. 6) Included with the lot, a bronze trident with 7 inch socket flaring to a flat panel supporting three narrow 9 inch tines.
Condition: 1) Heavy crusted patina overall. 2) Patina with some flaking. 3) Edges sharpened. 4) Some breakage to spikes and collars. 5) Heavy patina and accretion overall. 6) Tines bent.
