Maximilian Büsser, after graduating from a Master degree in micro-technology engineering in Lausanne, joined Jaeger-LeCoultre's senior management team for seven years. In 1998, Büsser was then appointed as Managing Director of Harry Winston Rare timepieces; among other projects, he worked with many talented independent watchmakers on the Opus series. In 2005, he founded MB&F, again cooperating with numerous independent watch professionals, artists and designers to create new dimensions in horology.

HM1 was conceived in collaboration with the renowned British watchmaker Peter Speake-Marin (other example of work can be seen with lot 401 and lot 402) and Laurent Besse, an eminent horological developer. A highly innovative timepiece, HM1's three-dimensional case and sophisticated multi-strata of the dial both captivate the eye and challenge the mind. Within that structure beats a movement like no other: 376 parts, 81 functional jewels, 4 mainspring barrels, 7-day power reserve and an elevated central tourbillon.

Through its creations, MB&F wishes to offer clients a great experience – and to sustain their innovative timepieces' value and quality. By offering any MB&F watch purchased at Bonhams a complete service and check-up at their workshops in Geneva, MB&F pays tribute and conveys its deep gratitude to collectors who share the passion and place their trust in MB&F's horological adventure. The cost of servicing and shipping will be on a complimentary basis and borne entirely by MB&F.
