With long swamped barrel encrusted with gold foliage at the muzzle and breech (some wear, fore-sight missing), the latter with two maker's stamps of Uthman(?) in thuluth and each retaining some of the original gold lining, tang covered in silver chased with scrolling foliage stamped with small stars, characteristic brass lock signed and dated on two silver-inlaid panels beneath, decorated overall with silver panels chased and engraved en suite with the tang, and enriched with red coral beads (corallium rubrum) and imitation emeralds, rubies and sapphires in brass settings, sprung dog-catch en suite, hardwood three-quarter stock inlaid overall with pierced and engraved foliate cagework secured by pins and enclosing numerous shaped pieces of ridged red coral (minor replacements), foliate engraved silver butt-plate set with red coral en suite, four shaped silver barrel bands (one broken) each embossed and chased with scallop shells, c-scrolls and foliage, silver baluster trigger, and wooden ramrod
