A fine white jade carving of a recumbent water buffalo
19th century
The even white stone crisply carved as a heavy beast in repose, the head with twisting horns resting peacefully on its two front legs tucked under the body, the face delicately carved with a tranquil expression, and the raised spine sweeping along the curved body to end in a bushy, upturned tail, stand.
7.1cm (2 3/4in) long (2).
