WWII Signal from 2nd British Army advising surrender of German forces
A single sheet telex from DADPR Second BR Army, 4to, [8 May 1945]. In part: "Following official statement from Shaef timed 2015 hours. Field Marshal Montgomery has reported to the Supreme Allied Commander that all the enemy forces in Holland, NW Germany and Denmark have surrendered to 21st Army Group effective at 0800hours tomorrow. This is a battlefield surrender involving the forces now facing 21 Army Group on their Northern and Western flanks." Several vertical and one horizontal folds, some tears at folds, a few with loss.

Montgomery reports back to Eisenhower that all German forces in Holland, NW Germany, Denmark and Frisian Islands have surrendered.
