An early production U.S. Model 1816 flintlock musket by M.T. Wickham
Browned 42 1/4 inch .69 caliber barrel marked at the breech US/P/LS. Lock with early style markings M.T. Wickham/Phila in front of cock. Browned iron furniture. Oil-finished walnut stock, the counterplate flat marked V/LS for inspector Luther Sage. Steel ramrod.
Condition: Excellent, probably unissued and quite possibly unfired. Retaining nearly all the original browned finish. Lock with smooth, dark patina. Excellent wood showing a few storage marks.
