Lot 1120
1928 $2.5 MS64 PCGS
This penultimate-year Indian quarter eagle would make a suitable addition to any Mint State type set. The color is a gorgeous yellow-gold shade, and an otherwise bold strike wanes just a bit over the lowermost feathers in the obverse headdress. That side is seemingly smooth enough to warrant consideration at a higher Mint State grade level, but some light and moderate abrasions in the reverse field are noted. Nevertheless, this frosty-textured example is certain to elicit strong bids when it appears at auction. (PCGS 7952)

Sold for US$ 877 inc. premium
