1965 Mercedes-Benz 220 SE b cabriolet
Châssis n° 11102110076385
Moteur n°12798410011660

1965 Mercedes-Benz 220SEb Cabriolet
Chassis no. 11102110076385
Engine no. 12798410011660

This beautiful 220SE cabriolet started life as a fixed-head coupé before being converted to cabriolet configuration by the Mercedes-Benz factory in 1970 at the behest of the first owner, Von Aschenbach & Voss of Krefeld, a company specialising in the supply of steel and aluminium. Servicing was carried out every 3,000 kilometres by Gebr Gossens GmbH in Krefeld up to 85,000 kilometres (the current odometer reading is 104,478 kilometres). In 1975 the Mercedes was sold to its second owner in the South of France. It remained there until 2000, thus escaping the ravages of bad weather, and has been preserved in generally good condition. In 2007, after seven years in the Netherlands, the car returned to France but was not registered there.

The dark blue paintwork is in beautiful condition, as is the brightwork, while the black mohair hood is like new and easily folds away. Trimmed in cream leather, the interior shows some wear but generally is in serviceable condition. The striped rosewood accents are likewise in very good order. The car is offered with full service history, all of its original instruction books, Netherlands registration papers and Belgian Form 705.
